With Greenville ranking in as the second-highest location in the state for per-capita income and a growing population of 1.5 million residents in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson metro area, the company hopes the move will be a boon to its entry-level, move-up and active adult home portfolio, according to a news release.

Mark Henninger, Lennar Corp.’s Charlotte market president, will direct Lennar Corp’s foray into the Upstate.

“South Carolina's Upstate is known for its quality of life, welcoming cities and highly ranked schools – all things that have places like Greensville and Spartanburg growing very quickly,” Henninger said in the release. “We are thrilled to bring our beautiful Lennar home designs and customer-committed sales teams to this part of the state to help meet a growing demand among homebuyers. In short, we're here to do what we do best, which is to build truly special homes and neighborhoods where families can make the most of every day.”

Bird Quarry, located in Greer, features two- to four-bedroom ranch homes with two to three baths ranging from 1,800 to 2,798 square feet. Sales began in mid-November starting at $256,999, according to the release.
