Encore Bank’s first Palmetto State branch is set to open this year at 1859 Summerville Ave., Suite 200.

The Lumberyard is a new development on the Upper Peninsula of Charleston owned by RCB Development, which is a real estate investment and development company. RCB is reclaiming 60,000 square feet of old warehouse space at The Lumberyard in what was a mostly industrial part of the Charleston region.

Encore Bank expects to occupy nearly 5,800 square feet when the bank is completed in June.

Meyer“This location is in an up-and-coming area that is centrally located in the heart of Charleston,” Encore Market President Fallon Meyer said in a news release. “We will straddle Charleston and North Charleston with easy access to Interstate 26. We are excited about the planned completion of the Lowline which is a park project that will run parallel to the front of the building, and we look forward to seeing the business community develop around us.”

Encore announced its move to Charleston in October, and since that time Meyer, who has more than 11 years of banking experience in the market, has been working to build a team of 10 to 15 banking professionals.

“Having spent many years in this market, I am confident the people of Charleston will appreciate our concierge approach to banking,” Meyer said.
