The Greenville Area Small Business Development Center is hosting a seminar to help small business owners prepare for disruptive events.

The seminar will feature a panel discussion from some of the region’s experts in natural disasters, cyber attacks, internal accidents and public relations crises. This full-day seminar also will feature hands-on applications along with networking time, according to a news release. Speakers will come from the S.C. Department of Commerce,  S.C. Law Enforcement Division’s computer crimes unit, Complete PR, S.C. Insurance Brokers, Ronk Security Solutions and other organizations.

The seminar is Tuesday, March 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Greenville Area SBDC, 225 S. Pleasantburg Drive. The cost is $45 per person and includes a light breakfast and lunch. More information and registration is available online.

“Why should a small business owner attend this event? It’s simple. They need it,” said Earl Gregorich, area manager for the SBDC. “The vast majority of business owners never think about what would happen if there is a disturbance that is out of their purview.”
