Passenger traffic at Columbia Metropolitan Airport increased 20% from February to March, with 112,048 passengers traveling through the airport.
The numbers marked a 16% year-to-date increase in passenger traffic, according to a news release.
The increased traffic has resulted in two new nonstop flights — one on American Airlines and the second on Delta — to New York City’s LaGuardia airport, according to the release.
“With over 301,000 passengers flying through CAE since January of this year, we’re currently on track to have another record-setting year,” CAE executive director Mike Gula said. “Our team works hard every day to serve our passengers, providing them with a pleasant and first-class experience.”
