Project description: The new Spartanburg District 5 elementary school broke ground in 2022. The 119,00-square-foot, one-story school is designed to accommodate 900 students to help alleviate the unprecedented growth in the area. The modern, efficient and environmentally responsible design evolved from its rich agricultural context while simultaneously embracing the rise of manufacturing along the Interstate 85 corridor through form, material and program.
