OEM supplier expands in Anderson

Lollis Metals, a metal fabrication and machine shop, plans to invest $2.8 million in a 10,000-square-foot addition to their current facility. 

The addition, set to create 10 jobs in the county and house a new robotic tube laser, will be complete in December, according to a news release. The current 53,000-square-foot shop is located at 3933 Keys St. in Anderson. 

“Our new state-of-the-art robotic tube laser will be one of the first of its kind in the area,” Rick Lollis, president of Lollis Metals Fabrication Inc., said in the news release. “Lollis Metals has provided its customers with excellent products and services in the metal working industry since 1979 and, with this expansion, looks forward to continuing that trend for decades to come.” 

Family owned and operated since 1979, Lollis Metals specializes in a wide variety of custom metal components including laser cutting, custom fabrication, robotic welding, forming and more, the release said. The company serves original equipment manufacturers throughout the mid-Southeast. 

“Lollis Metals is the type of medium-sized company that serves as the backbone of our local economy,” Anderson County Council Chair Tommy Dunn said in the release. “I am thrilled to see that they are once again expanding their operations and look forward to working with them for years to come.” 

In 2012, Lollis acquired Temco and expanded its services to additional OEMS, plant maintenance teams and field crews across the Upstate, according to the company website.
