HOT PROPERTIES: Colliers represents Maysteel Industries in sale of Sumter building

Colliers South Carolina brokers Chuck Salley, Thomas Beard, John Peebles and Dave Mathews represented Maysteel Industries in the sale of a 128,292-square-foot industrial building at 1485 Diebold Drive in Sumter to a local business expanding its operations.
The building was constructed in 1991 and Maysteel used the property to manufacture custom heavy-duty sheet metal products for the utility and power generation industries, according to a news release from Colliers.
“This transaction illustrates the strong demand for manufacturing properties that are readily available within the state of South Carolina,” Salley, managing director for industrial services for Colliers South Carolina, said in the release. “This local business’s expansion in Sumter is a testament to the market’s labor force and quality of life.”

Grayson Atkins of Spencer/Hines Properties handled the lease of 4220-4224 Boiling Springs Road in Boiling Springs. The 1,200-square-foot retail space was leased for three years to Carolina Chiropractic from Dawkins Investments LLC.

Midlands

DeWees Real Estate Group was involved in the lease of 1,250 square feet of space at 1727 Harden St. in Columbia. The space was leased to a locally owned and operated Pilates Studio, Rise Fitness + Wellness, which is relocating from their Millwood Avenue location early this year. The Harden Street location is home to Barron’s Outfitters, and the former Eastern States Serum Dog and Cat Supply store which will soon be renovated. Broker-in-charge Sam DeWees with DeWees Real Estate Group represented the tenant in this transaction.

Allen Wilkerson and Henry Roe of Colliers South Carolina represented Overlook Associates LLC in the lease of 2,066 square feet of office space at 718 Lady St. in Columbia to Cornerstone Wealth Group.

Allen Wilkerson and Henry Roe of Colliers South Carolina represented St. Andrews Offices LLC in the lease of 1,891 square feet of office space at 240 Stoneridge Drive in Columbia to Wesco Distribution Inc.

NAI Columbia’s Jeff Hein and Will DuPree represented Parklane Partners LLC in the purchase of 7909 Parklane Road for $3,450,000. Hein and DuPree will represent Parklane Partners in the leasing of the newly acquired office building.

The four-story class A multi-tenant office building is 115,108 square feet and has spaces of 2,000 to 98,000 square feet available for lease. The building is located immediately off Interstate 277 and accessible to the Central Business District, Columbia Metropolitan airport, and close proximity to numerous residential areas.

Patrick Palmer and Bobby Balboni of NAI Columbia represented the purchaser of 7.78 acres of land for $2.1 million located at the Hardscrabble Road and Lee Road intersection. The site will be developed into multiple parcels with a wide range of users. Development of the site is slated to begin in early 2024, according to NAI Columbia.

William Mills and Dail Longaker of Trinity Partners represented the landlord in the lease of a 4,334-square-foot retail space at 131 Harbison Blvd. in Irmo.

Bruce Greenberg of Trinity Partners represented the tenant that leased 1,914 square feet of flex space at 355 Woodruff Road in Greenville.

Roger Winn, Braden Shockley and Paul Hartley of Trinity Partners represented the landlord in the leasing of a 3,822-square-foot office space at 140 Stoneridge Drive in Columbia.

Robert Pratt of Re/Max Pro Realty represented the buyer, RLP LLC, in the sale of just under an acre of redevelopment space at 105 Midland Parkway in Summerville from 105 Midland Parkway LLC for $475,000.

Taylor Sekanovich and Vitré Ravenel Stephens of Harbor Commercial Partners represented the buyer, ACE Medical Holdings LLC, in the sale of 4,464 square feet of office space at 2060 Charlie Hall Blvd., Unit 1, Charleston, from E.F. Medical LLC for $1.6 million. Gerry Schauer and Jeremy Willits of Avison Young represented the seller.

Jing “Julia” Donovan and Trey Davis of Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic represented the tenant, SureRock USA Corp., in the lease of 20,000 square feet of warehouse space at 4068 Fernandina Road in Columbia. The landlord, Gemini Associates LLC, was represented by William Durham of the William Durham Company LLC.

Jing “Julia” Donovan of Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic represented tenant Balance Spa LLC, a massage therapy studio, in the lease of retail space at Unit 14 at 878 Fording Island Road in Bluffton. The landlord, GOF LLC, was represented by Vonnie Majewski of VM Real Estate.

Milton Thomas and John Kincaid of Lee & Associates Charleston represented the landlord who leased 40,000 square feet of industrial space on 7.55 acres of land at 5 Corporate Parkway in Goose Creek.

Reid Davis, Pete Harper and Cameron Yost of Lee & Associates Charleston represented the landlord in leasing 3,440 square feet of retail space in Charleston at 1310 Meeting St.

Hunter Hartley and Bob Nuttall of Lee & Associates Charleston handled the lease of 5,560 square feet of office space on behalf of the landlord. The office is at 496 Bramson Court in Mount Pleasant.
